A gas leak occurred at a cold store near Bhano Langha in Kapurthala, but no casualties were reported as the situation was brought under control by prompt action from the authorities.

The residents of Bhano Langha in Kapurthala were in a state of panic earlier today after a gas leak was reported at a cold store in the area. However, thanks to prompt action by the administration, the situation has been brought under control.

The gas supply to the store was immediately cut off, and no casualties or injuries have been reported so far. The SDM of Kapurthala, Mr Lal Vishwas Bains, and the DSP, Mr Maninderpal Singh, along with health officials, rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.

Ambulances were also present at the site, ready to provide medical assistance if required. Both officials have urged people to avoid spreading rumors about any casualties and have assured that the situation is under control.

An investigation into the cause of the gas leak is currently underway to determine how it could have happened in the cold store. In the meantime, the authorities have assured the residents of Bhano Langha that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure their safety.
