A journalist was shot at by unidentified goons in Ghaziabad near Delhi at around 10:30 pm on Monday night. The spine-chilling incident was captured by the CCTV camera installed at the roadside.

The journalist has been identified by Vikram Joshi, who was traveling on a motorcycle with his two daughters when a group of men assaulted him and opened fire at him.

Joshi received a bullet injury on his head and is in critical condition at a private hospital.

However, the police have arrested 5 assailants in connection with the attack on the UP journalist.

In the video, the daughters can be seen running away. The assailants then drag Joshi towards a car and hit him before they flee the spot.

As Joshi lies on the road, one of his daughters rushes to him and can be seen crying and screaming for help. The terrified girl sits on the road next to her father, trying to stop vehicles or people passing by. A couple of people can then be seen rushing to the injured man.

It is being suggested by certain media reports that the attack on Joshi could have taken place after he, recently, lodged a complaint to the police about his niece being harassed by a group of men.
