Surprising incident from Ghaziabad has come to the fore which has shocked everyone. Jewelry worth 4 lakh rupees was returned by thieves days after they carried out a robbery at a female teacher’s residence. This matter has surprised the victim of the robbery as well as the police officials who were looking after the case.
Reportedly, a robbery took place in which cash worth 25 thousand rupees and jewelry worth 14 lakhs were stolen from the flat of a female teacher. The victim of the robbery is Preeti Sohi who originally belongs to Bulandshahr. She is a resident of Fortune Residency located at Rajnagar Extension in Ghaziabad. Four days after the theft took place, jewelry worth Rs. 4 lakhs was returned to her through courier.
It would be pertinent to inform that Preeti has gone to her house to celebrate Diwali and when she returned, locks of her flat and cupboards were broken and cash, as well as jewelry kept inside, was also missing. Soon after this, FIR was lodged at the concerned police station.
Reportedly, on October 29, courier boy came to Preeti’s residence to deliver a parcel. On opening the packet, she found stolen jewelry of Rs. 4 lakhs inside the courier which was stolen some days back. There was also a box of artificial jewelry, which was stolen that day.
Soon after this, Preeti informed police about the courier and further investigation revealed that the parcel was sent in the name of Rajdeep Jewelers Hapur. On reaching the area, Ghaziabad police learnt that no shop like such exists in reality.
The DTDC courier center from where the parcel was delivered revealed during the investigation that 2 boys and booked the parcel. CCTV footage installed in the courier center has become key evidence for police and search for suspect is initiated with the help of same.
