After KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya were suspended for inappropriate comments on a TV talk show, Shubhman Gill and Vijay Shankar have been named as their replacement for the ongoing India vs Australia ODI series.
The 19 year old Shubhman Gill has been knocking the door of the Indian Cricket team since the time he started playing first class cricket, scoring over 1000 runs in just 9 matches.
The 27 year old Vijay Shankar, on the other hand, last played for India in Nidhahas Trophy in Sri Lanka.
