Gmail briefly stopped working leaving a huge number of people unable to read their mails. The website and apps were down as well and also failed to load. Users reported seeing a strange popup of "error 404" instead of their messages.
"404. That's an error", the message read, alongside a picture of a broken robot. "The requested URL was not found on this server. That's all we know." Problems were hitting all over the world. Google has informed that the problem has now been fixed.
"The problem with Gmail should be resolved...We apologise for the inconveniance and thank you for your patience and continued support", posted Google on its support page.
