One of the most awaited Malayalam films ‘Gold’, directed by Alphonse Puthren starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara in the lead has cornered all attention and love from the fans ever since being announced last year.
The film is Puthren’s first in seven years after the critically acclaimed Premam. Touted to be a dark comedy, the makers have only released a trailer as of yet but its hype has cornered all forms of love and affection, which Puthren said that the “good movie promotes itself.”
The movie is expected to be based on a mobile shop owner Joshi, who is planning to purchase a car that doesn’t go handy as planned and carries forward a series of events thereafter.
For those who don’t know it is for the first time that Prithviraj is acting with Nayanthara in s full-length feature film, though the star duo was seen together earlier in a song sequence in the multi-starrer Twenty-20 which was immensely loved by their fans.
Gold is slated under Prithviraj Productions and Magic Frames boasts a stellar cast apart from its lead characters. The film will showcase, Roshan Mathew, Jaffer Idukki, Shammi Thilakan, Ajmal Ameer, Lalu Alex, Deepti Sati, Saiju Kurup, Chemban Vinod Jose, Shanthi Krishna, Jagadeesh, Prem Kumar, and Vinay Fort in other prominent characters of the movie.

After a grand hit run in 2022 with Jana Gana Mana and Kaduva, the producer will be hoping for a similar show from Gold which will be hitting the screens worldwide on the 1st of December.
Makers have also revealed the details of the film’s satellite and digital rights well in advance which were sold to Surya TV and Amazon Prime Video.
Although there are no details available about the release of the movie of OTT, however, based on the reports it is expected to hit the web space by the first week of January. While Surya TV which has earned the film’s broadcasting rights will run the movie earlier next year.
