As per the official notice, IPS officer Dinkar Gupta has been appointed as the new chief of the National Investigation Agency. He will hold this post till his retirement, or till further notice of the government.

As per the official notice, IPS officer Dinkar Gupta has been appointed as the new chief of the National Investigation Agency. He will hold this post till his retirement, or till further notice of the government. The IPS officer of 1987 batch was removed as the state police chief by the Congress government in October 2021 and appointed as Chairman of Punjab Police Housing Corporation ( PPHC).
He was currently serving as Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau. According to the orders ,he is appointed to the post till further orders . In another order Swagat Das was appointed Special Secretary in the Union Home Ministry .

This man full of excellency and versatility has been appointed as the new NIA chief. He is a very well known officer who served India and worked on many operations with bravery and intelligence. He will serve at this post till  his retirement if any other notice doesn't come in between.
