Govinda Arun Ahuja famously known as Govinda is a popular 60-year-old Bollywood actor. He has appeared in over 165 Hindi-language films. He is known for his outstanding performances and dancing skills. He has received a total of 12 Filmfare Award nominations, 2 Filmfare Special Awards and 1 Filmfare Award for Best Comedian.

• Gadar- Ek Prem Katha: This blockbuster movie was initially offered to Govinda but he rejected it because of the film’s excessive use of swear words. The lead role was then taken by Sunny Deol. This romantic period action-drama film directed by Anil Sharma starred Amisha Patel, Sunny Deol, Utkarsh Sharma, Amrish Puri, Lillete Dubey and Vivek Shauq. This film grossed Rs 133 crores against a budget of 18.5 crores.
• Slumdog Millionaire: This Academy award winning film was offered to Govinda. He was approached for the role of the Quiz host in the film but he denied the offer. Following this, the role was passed to Anil Kapoor. This film later turned into a super hit movie and grossed 378.4 million dollars against a budget of 15 million dollars.
• Devdas: Initially Govinda was offered the role of Chunnilal played by Jackie Shroff in Devdas. But he rejected the offer. This movie later came out as a hit in the box office. The film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles. The film grossed Rs 168 crore against a budget of Rs 50 crores.
• Chandni: This super hit movie was also initially offered to Govinda but he rejected the lead role as the character was wheelchair-bound. Later the role was taken by Rishi Kapoor. The movie grossed Rs 17.2 crore against a budget of 2.8 crores. The movie starred Sridevi, Rishi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, Waheeda Rehman, Anupam Kher, Sushma Seth and Mita Vashisht.
• Taal: This blockbuster movie was offered to Govinda due to scheduling conflicts and disagreements over pay. Later the role was taken by Anil Kapoor. The movie starred Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai and Akshaye Khanna in lead roles. It grossed Rs 51.16 crores against a budget of Rs 15 crores.
