Gross Negligence of doctors and blood bank officials, HIV positive patient's blood transfused to a child. Watch Video

Was that intentional?

Bathinda Blood-Bank HIV-Positive-Patient

Another incident of gross negligence has emerged from Bathinda where the officials of the blood bank transfused the blood of an HIV-positive patient to the healthy people.

Reportedly, it has been learned that a person's blood was taken a few months back by the officials of the blood bank set up at Civil Hospital, Bathinda. Her blood was then transfused to a woman. After that, the blood bank officials found out that the person whose blood they had taken had tested positive for HIV.

Even after knowing this, the officials committed the crime and did not inform the person that he is HIV positive. Almost after 3 months, the same person called at the blood bank to donate blood and the officials asked him to come. However, they did not inform him about his condition.

And now, the same HIV positive patient's blood has been transfused to a child suffering from thalassemia

When the reporters asked the Civil Hospital officials' notion on it, they refused to say anything. But, Sonu Maheshwari, president of an NGO said that a criminal case should be registered against the blood bank officials for such negligence. We will take this matter to the High Court along with the victim's family. Wherever we will have to go, we will go against these people.
