Groww Down: Online trading platform faces technical snag second time in 15 days as users complain

In a bizarre development, online trading platform, Groww App crashed on Tuesday morning. Multiple users took to X handle and loged their complaint about Groww App Crash. Users seemed fumed as it is the second time in last 10 to 15 days that Groww App Down has been registered. A user named Sumali Moitra asked on X, "As problems surface again today for those using #Groww during mkt hours, will Sebi & Finance Ministry pls come to the aid of retail investors as tech glitches seem to be happening too frequently at various trading apps?" For those who are unaware, Groww is a prominent stock brokerage app in India. Below is what people said on Groww App Down- 

 

A user wrote, "#groww why is my wallet balance showing zero even after having the amount. What is wrong with the app? #groww"

 

 

Another user wrote, "Is there anyone facing problem with #groww app?Wallet not working and not showing my balance.
How can be it frequently happened with brokers? @_groww #groww @SEBI_India Should we need to go with traditional brokers instead of discount brokers.?"

 

 

One more user wrote, "App not working .......need to settle this problem @_groww  .Suffering due to this frequently. "

 

 

Notably, after hundreds of users loge their complaint online, Groww responded. Reacting to Groww Down reason, the online trading platform wrote, "Hello!! Thank you for your patience and trust. We're pleased to inform you that the issue has been successfully resolved."

 

Notably, Groww faced similar kind of technical glitch on January 24, 2024. Groww had acknowledged the problem and had reassured users that they were actively working to rectify the technical issues. However, they did not provide specific details about the cause of the problem or any potential compensation for affected users. This situation highlights the challenges faced by fintech firms in managing technical reliability and customer satisfaction, especially in the high-stakes environment of stock trading.
