Gujarat Police constable murdered his three sons aged between 8 and 3 years after an argument with his wife on Sunday. The brutality of the incident left his colleagues shocked and troubled when they reached the police residential quarters after receiving a call from the accused constable, who himself reported the incident.
After arguing with his wife in Gujarat's Bhavnagar, Sukhdev Siyal locked up his wife in one of the rooms at their government quarters and then slit the throats of their three sons. The boys have been identified as Khushal (8), Uddhav (5) and Manmeet (3).
After the constable was done with the murders, he dialed up the police station and informed them about the murders when the officers rushed to the scene and were left shocked.
The cops released his wife from the next room where she was locked up and found constable Siyal sitting in one corner of the house along with the knife he used to slit the throats of his 3 sons.
The motionless bodies of his 3 sons lay on one side of the house with blood sprayed all over.
Siyal told the police that he had a major argument with his wife on Friday when the family was celebrating the birthday of the eldest son. The couple had another such major fight before Friday.
Police are now looking into the reasons behind these frequent arguments.
Constable Sukhdev Siyal has now been put under arrest. Superintendent of Police Jaipal Singh Rathore confirmed the incident. Siyal was posted at his office.
