AAP MLA from Jalandhar West Sheetal Angural's gunman has committed suicide. He has shot himself. The cause of the suicide could not be ascertained. Police have reached the spot and are investigating the matter. The deceased has been identified as Pawan Kumar.
MLA Sheetal Angural said that the gunman was a resident of Mehtapur in the Jalandhar district today. The gunman has not been on duty for the past 10 days. According to MLA Sheetal Angural, the guard went to the employee's room near his house in Basti Danishmanda around 10 am and shot himself. After which MLA informed the police.
It is worth mentioning that this is the second incident in the last two days in Jalandhar where police personnel have committed suicide by shooting themselves. Earlier, the ACP had also shot himself and blamed senior police officials.
When the MLA left the house with the family for the temple, other security personnel went with the MLA but the gunman who committed suicide remained at home, he did not go with him. Police officers and staff immediately reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. The police officers are investigating why the gunman of MLA Angural committed suicide with his own government gun.
In prima facie, it is coming out that the gunman was in depression due to some family issues. The MLA has expressed deep grief over the death of the gunman. MLA Sheetal Angural said that his gunman was very calm and a very good person. He used to do his duty very calmly. But he is also puzzled as to why he took this step.
