O/O District Public Relations Officer, Jalandhar, January 5-Newly appointed Divisional Commissioner Gurpreet Kaur Sapra today said that shewould accord top priority towards the implementation of the pro-people anddevelopment oriented policies of the state government to benefit the masses.
After assuming the charge of office here today, theDivisional Commissioner said that all efforts would be made to provide clean,transparent and responsive administration to the people. She said that no stonewould be left unturned to ensure the progress of the region and prosperity ofits residents.
Sapra, 2005 batch officer of the Indian AdministrativeService, said that a transparent mechanism would be evolved for furtherstreamlining the administrative functioning in the Division.
The Divisional Commissioner further said that she wouldcarry forward the welfare programs and policies of the Punjab government tosafeguard the interests of the weaker and underprivileged sections of thesociety.
Sapra said that she would also ensure that an effective andtransparent mechanism was put in place for benefiting the people of the regionin a big way.
Earlier, outgoing Divisional Commissioner Raj KamalChaudhary also held a meeting with the new commissioner and discussed variousissues concerning the Jalandhar Division.
