Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah-fame actor Gurucharan Singh's family filed a missing person complaint and revealed that he went missing on April 22. Gurucharan Singh aka Roshan Sodhi was last seen at the Delhi airport on April 22, where he was scheduled to catch a flight to Mumbai. However, he never made it to Mumbai and has not returned home since. Now, Delhi Police have finally issued a statement on What happened to Gurucharan Singh aka Sodhi. Delhi Police stated that it is investigating the case under section 365 which is kidnapping. On being asked, whether Gurucharan Singh is kidnapped, the Delhi Police official stated that actor was seen in a CCTV footage. Below is what Delhi Police's official statement says-
"Gurucharan Singh's family lodged a complaint with us that he left for Mumbai on 22 April at 8:30 pm. He has been missing since then. We have registered a case and are investigating from multiple angles. We are looking for footage and technical investigation and we have even found many vital clues... We have registered a case under Section 365 of the IPC... The initial probe involves following his movement according to CCTVs and analysing corroborative technical evidence. He is seen going with a backpack," said DCP South-west Rohit Meena as quoted by a newswire.
Gurucharan Singh Missing
A missing report submitted by Gurcharan's father stated, "My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on April 22nd to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn’t reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing!"
For those who don't watch the Tarak Mehta serial, Gurcharan Singh's character Roshan Singh Sodhi is a fun-loving man who is always in party mode and never shies away from expressing love for his wife. However, Gurcharan left the show in 2013 only to return the next year due to public demand. After his exit in 2020, he was replaced by actor Balwinder Singh Suri. It is pertinent to mention here that Gurcharan is a witness in Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal's sexual harassment case.
