Amritpal Singh has recently been under limelight for quite some days post the violent clash between his supporters and Ajnala Police. Now, the Waris Punjab De Chief has once again come out and has made some controversial statements regarding Punjab Police as well as the government during press conference.

Amritpal Singh while addressing media personnel stated that although the government calls Punjab to be an integral part of India but they don’t treat it as one. He added that if Punjab would have been important for government, they would have never agreed to give half of it to Pakistan. Apart from this Amritpal Singh further said that many Punjabi speaking parts are now in Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh & Haryana. He stated that till the time all these parts don’t come together Punjab can never be integral part of India.

Slamming the Punjab Police, Waris Punjab De Chief said that officials are registering fake cases against Amritdhari Sikhs. He said the police’s duty is to control drug addiction in the state but they are not even concerned about it. He then talked about a village in Punjab where around 80 youths lost their lives due to the consumption of drugs but police did not take any steps to prevent it.

Talking about his Mercedez car controversy, Amritpal said that government leaders are trying to frame him for no reason. He clarified saying that the car was given to him by the people who adore them and not by any political party supporter.

In the end, he said that even Nehru and Gandhi have British passports but no one ever questioned them so why was he being questioned about his citizenship? Amritpal Singh said that he is not scared of anything or anyone, he has and will always stand up for the rights of Sikhs.
