What is Haldiram-Urdu Controversy?

Haldiram’s namkeen on Wednesday landed in controversy after a reporter asked the outlet staff regarding the Urdu text on Navratri eatable packaging. All this happened when a reporter from a local channel went to one of the Haldiram’s outlets and spot a packaging of Navratri namkeen. On the packaging, there is another language text on it along with Hindi and English.

The reporter asked the branch manager why it is written in the Urdu language. Does Haldiram want to hide anything? Then verbal altercation between the reporter with a woman employee at a Haldiram’s store began. The Manager refused to answer the questions asked by the reporter. In the clip, the reporter is also heard asking what they were trying to hide and whether the snacks contained “animal oil, beef oil”.
