In observance of the upcoming Nagar Kirtan on November 12, celebrating the Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal has declared a half-day holiday for all educational institutions within the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation limits.
This holiday applies to both government and private schools and colleges in the area. The decision aims to respect the religious sentiments of the community while ensuring the convenience and safety of students and staff members during the Nagar Kirtan procession.
The half-day closure on November 12 will allow students, teachers, and residents to participate in or accommodate the Nagar Kirtan celebrations without disrupting the academic environment.
