Famous singer & BJP MP Hansraj Hans and MLA Inderjit Kaur are embroiled in controversies due to allegations of misusing the funds of Babu Lal Badshah Dargah Committee, of which Hans is the chief sevadar. Kundan Sai, a 20-year-old sevadar of Dera Baba Almast Bapu Lal Badshah Dargah, has alleged that Hansraj had misused the funds of the committee.
Along with Kunder, Hari Mittal & Purushottam Lal Bittu of Mohalla Rishi Nagar and Timmy Gill & Timple Gill of Mohalla Mitle also support these allegations. A complaint regarding this has been given to Jalandhar SSP Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar. However, Hansraj Hans has not yet responded to these allegations. MLA Inderjit Kaur, however, has called these allegations false.
Kundan Sai has said that some people became members of the committee on their own without the relevant consent. He alleges that fraud is being done in the Dargah in different ways as per their wish. Kundan Sai alleges that a major fraud came to light when on May 21, 2022 when a bill of about Rs 14.18 lakh was raised in the name of a Rajasthan firm.
Marble for the Dargah was purchased from that firm. But, after 3 days the bill was increased to Rs 23.13 lakh. There was direct fraud of about Rs 9 lakh. He says that this bill is there in the records of the committee. There are many such bills in which there is clear evidence of rigging. Kundan Sai said that on the basis of the complaint the police has assured action.
Additionally, he alleges that gold has also been purchased in the name of the camp. But, till date gold has never been offered in the camp, nor has it been seen anywhere. He alleges that this fraud is happening under Halka MLA Inderjit Kaur.
It is important to note that committee elections were held only a few days ago, in which the Halka MLA used her influence to bring people from different villages. Kundan has said that MP Hans Raj Hans and MLA Inderjit Kaur Mann are responsible for all of this. He also informs that all the evidence he had regarding this has been handed over to the police. The camp's money and gold have been misused and he demands action against both of them.
On this issue, Nakodar MLA Inderjit Kaur says that all allegations against her are wrong while Hans Raj has not yet commented on this issue.
