
Chandigarh, January 15: Punjab Health & Family WelfareMinister Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu today handed over appointment letters to 36medical laboratory technicians.
Disclosing more about this here today the Health Minister saidthat under the 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' an employment scheme of Punjab Chief MinisterCapt. Amarinder Singh, out of the total 98 posts of medical lab technicianspublished, today appointment letters were given to 36 candidates. While theremaining selected candidates will be given appointment letters as soon aspossible.
Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu congratulated the new appointees inthe Health Department and encouraged them to discharge their responsibilitieshonestly and diligently in various health institutions of the state so as toensure quality healthcare services to the needy people.
The Health Minister said that Punjab Chief Minister Capt.Amarinder Singh had promised to provide jobs under 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' scheme. Every effort is being made to achievethis goal. It may also be mentioned herethat the Health Department Punjab has filled more than 10,049 posts ofparamedical and other staff including medical officers from the year 2017 to 2021.
Director Health and Family Welfare Punjab Dr.G.B. Singh welcomed the newly appointedstaff who got jobs in the health department. He said that corona pandemic hasbeen brought under control to a large extent but the disease has not beeneradicated yet. Therefore, to prevent corona, wear a mask and wash your handsfrom time to time with soapy water and strictly follow the rules of socialdistance.
On this occasion, the Health Minister's OSD. Dr. Balwinder Singh, Mass Media Officer Gurmeet Singh Rana, Harcharan SinghBrar, Superintendent Sandeep Kumar, Jagjit Singh and other officials were alsopresent.
