Health Minister hands over appointment letters to 36 Medical Laboratory Technicians

The remaining selected candidates will be given appointment letters as soon as possible.

Chandigarh, January 15: Punjab Health & Family Welfare Minister Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu today handed over appointment letters to 36 medical laboratory technicians.

Disclosing more about this here today the Health Minister said that under the 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' an employment scheme of Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, out of the total 98 posts of medical lab technicians published, today appointment letters were given to 36 candidates. While the remaining selected candidates will be given appointment letters as soon as possible.

Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu congratulated the new appointees in the Health Department and encouraged them to discharge their responsibilities honestly and diligently in various health institutions of the state so as to ensure quality healthcare services to the needy people.

The Health Minister said that Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh had promised to provide jobs under 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar'  scheme. Every effort is being made to achieve this goal.  It may also be mentioned here that the Health Department Punjab has filled more than 10,049 posts of paramedical and other staff including medical officers from the year 2017 to 2021.

Director Health and Family Welfare Punjab  Dr.G.B. Singh welcomed the newly appointed staff who got jobs in the health department. He said that corona pandemic has been brought under control to a large extent but the disease has not been eradicated yet. Therefore, to prevent corona, wear a mask and wash your hands from time to time with soapy water and strictly follow the rules of social distance.

On this occasion, the Health Minister's OSD.  Dr.  Balwinder Singh, Mass Media Officer Gurmeet Singh Rana, Harcharan Singh Brar, Superintendent Sandeep Kumar, Jagjit Singh and other officials were also present.
