Union Minister, Smriti Irani, on Saturday announced that her daughter Shanelle Irani got engaged to Arjun Bhalla. Irani shared cute pictures of the couple, earning a lot of praise from social media users.

Since then people have been wanting to know who Arjun Bhalla is. While there is rarely any information available about him, he is said to be pursuing a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from London.

Many people might have thought that Arjun could have some political affiliation, but it seems he isn’t involved in politics, not as of yet, at least.

Shanelle is herself a lawyer by profession. She has received her degree in law from Government Law College in Mumbai, before notching an LLM degree from Georgetown University Law Centre, Washington DC. She did her initial schooling from Avabai Framji Petit Girls’ High School in Mumbai and then graduated from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai.

Irani took to Instagram to announce the news of her daughter’s engagement. She shared two photos of the newly-engaged couple. In one picture, Arjun Bhalla could be seen down on one knee with a ring in hand with Shanelle putting forward her left hand for the ring cermony. The other photo shows both smiling while taking a selfie.

Irani wrote a heart-melting caption alongside the pictures.

“To the man who now has our heart @arjun_bhalla welcome to our mad cap family. bless you for you have to deal with a crazy man for a father in law & worse me for a Saas ….. (you have been officially
