In a bizarre incident, a girl along with her boyfriend were arrested after a hidden camera was caught inside a Girl's PG in Chandigarh Sector 22. Following the complaint of the landlord, the Police arrived at the PG and after investigation arrested a girl living there in the case. On to the girl's revelation, the Police later arrested her boyfriend as well. Following that, the girl and boy's phones were seized and were sent to the CFSL lab to investigate the matter.
Camera in Chandigarh girl's PG washroom case came to the fore when a girl living there went to use the bathroom. After going inside, she saw a device flashing above the geyser. She told other girls about it, and thereafter they informed the landlord. The landlord complained about this at the Sector-17 police station. On this, the police reached the spot, took the device in their possession, and started questioning.
As per reports, the PG in which the device was installed is situated on the top floor of Sector 22. Five girls lived in it. Everyone had to use the same bathroom. Reportedly, the accused girl had installed a camera at the behest of her boyfriend, who is a resident of Sector 20. Police have registered a case against both the accused under sections 354 C of IPC, 509, and 66 IT Act. Further investigation is underway.
