The death of a senior Hindu leader Sudhir Suri in Punjab in broad daylight amidst heavy force deployment has raised a series of grave concerns over the manner of the police functioning in the state.
At the center of a furor over the murder of the right-wing leader a video has emerged from the sight when Suri was shot by the gun-borne assailant amidst heavy police deployment and scores of his supporters.

In the video, Suri can be seen surrounded by his fellow supporters when the murderer shot at him. It is pertinent to mention here Suri has been provided 'Y' grade Security with the cover of over 15 police personnel and a security gypsy on his visit to Amritsar.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav revealed that the shooter's name is Sandeep Sunny and he ran a garment shop near Gopal Mandir which was also the protest site for the Shiv Sena leader.
Sudhir Suri came to the limelight in 2010 when he started rhetoric on Pakistan and its intelligence agency ISI. However, later he got embroiled in controversies due to objectionable statements about Sikhs and Khalistanis. Suri was the target of Canada-based gangster terrorist Lakhbir Singh Landa.
