Keeping in view the Lok Sabha polls to be held on 1st June 2024 (Saturday) in the state of Punjab, 1st June will be a gazetted holiday for the government offices/boards/corporations/educational institutions located in the state. This holiday has also been declared under the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881.

 

According to the information, 1st June will be a paid holiday under Section 135 B (1) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. This holiday has been declared for all employees employed in any business, trade, industry undertaking or any other establishment.
