Honey Singh’s Wife claims her father-in-law walked into her room in inebriated condition

She has alleged that Honey Singh and his parents have been harassing her physically and mentally from 2011.

Wife of Punjabi singer and actor Yo Yo Honey Singh has filed a domestic violence case against him and sought Rs 10 crore compensation under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, saying she felt like a "farm animal...Being treated cruelly".

 

She filed a plea at Delhi's Tis Hazari Court on Wednesday, accusing him of domestic violence, among other things. Shalini's 120-page petition details her multiple allegations against the rapper.

 

Recalling a particular incident, Shalini said that when photos from their wedding ceremony were leaked, Hirdesh (real name of Honey Singh) got panicked and best her mercilessly as he thought that she leaked the images while he actually wanted to hide his marital status.

 

Shalini also accused her husband of being sexually involved with multiple women. In a particular case, when Shalini confronted Hirdesh about adultery with his 'Brown Rang' co star, the popstar apparently threw a bottle of liquor at her. Hirdesh and Shalini were childhood sweethearts. They were in a decade long relationship before finally getitng married in 2011.

 

Besides this, she also claimed that once her father-in-law walked into her room in inebriated condition while she was changing her clothes and grazed his hands over her chest.

The court has issued notice to Honey Singh to respond by August 28. The court also passed an interim order in favor of Shalini Talwar, restraining Honey Singh from disposing of the property jointly owned by his wife. Advocates Sandeep Kapoor, Apoorva Pandey and GG Kashyap filed the case on behalf of Honey Singh's wife Shalini Talwar.

 

She has demanded Rs 10 crore as compensation and also prayed the court to order the singer to pay a rent of Rs 5 lakh every month for fully furnished accommodation in Delhi so as to enable her to live by herself and not remain dependent on her widowed mother.
