The crime rate in Punjab does not seem to be decreasing anytime soon. The latest incident has surfaced from Ludhiana where miscreants have openly attacked youth with swords without being afraid of the police officials. Reportedly, a lot of ruckus was created by miscreants as they attacked youths with swords. The incident is from the Janakpuri area.
Explaining the incident, it is being said that two youths were casually standing in the street when around 6-8 miscreants came on bikes and attacked them with the swords that they had in their hands. Seeing this, youths fled from there but were chased by the miscreants. Hearing all the screams, locals came out for help and seeing this the hooligans ran away. To add further, it is said that the accused’s hooliganism did not end there. They then went to another street and created a lot of furies. All these actions of them were captured by the CCTVs installed in the area. After this, an atmosphere of panic was created among the shopkeepers.
The police were informed about the whole matter. SHO Arshpreet Kaur and ADCP Rupinder Kaur reached the scene and gathered all the evidence against the accused. The police have assured that miscreants will be arrested soon. The youth that got injured during the attack have been identified as Prince Kumar and Aladdin.
The latest incident suggests that law and order in Punjab have deteriorated. The miscreants do not seem to have fear of the police administration. Almost every day news related to attacks surges up. This has also created a situation of panic in the whole state as everyone has become a bit afraid of roaming freely on the roads.
