Hoshairpur CIA Constable dies in encounter between Gangster Rana Mansoorpuriya & Police; Fresh FIR filed

During the encounter, a bullet fired by gangster Mansoorpuriya hit a CIA senior constable due to which he died.

In a major development, an encounter took place between the Hoshairpur CIA team and a gangster Rana Mansoorpuriya on Sunday in Hoshairpur, Punjab. During the encounter, a bullet fired by gangster Mansoorpuriya hit a CIA senior constable due to which he died.  The gangster fled from the scene after getting injured in the retaliatory firing by the Police. The deceased employee has been identified as Senior Constable Amritpal Singh. Amritpal Singh's body has been sent for postmortem.

 

As per reports, the Hoshiarpur CIA staff team had received information that gangster Rana Mansoorpuriya was hiding with weapons in the Mansoorpur village of Mukerian. Based on the information, the police set a trap in the morning. As soon as the accused saw the police, he started firing.

 

A report quoted DSP Vipan Kumar saying that the gangster was injured in police retaliation, following which he ran away throwing the weapon at the crime scene. The entire area has been sealed to search for him. A search of houses and fields around the crime scene is underway. Police have recovered about 10 used bullets from the crime scene as well. 

 

Divulging information about CIA Constable Amritpal Singh, DSP Vipal Kimar reported said that the constable was shot in the encounter. After the incident, Amritpal Singh was taken to Pranab Hospital in Mukerian for treatment. However, the doctors declared him dead after some time of treatment.

 

Now, a separate FIR is being registered in this case under various sections including Section 302 of IPC and Arms Act being added against the Gangster.  As per reports, gangster Rana is originally a resident of the village Mansoorpur of Mukeria. The encounter took place near Mahakpur village adjacent to Mansoorpur. According to the police, cases have already been registered against the gangster in Hoshiarpur under various sections including arms smuggling.
