A bizarre video of a doctor recently went viral on social media. In the viral video, the doctor was seen snorting drugs while a woman present with him secretly filmed him in the act. As per reports, the incident took place in Hoshiarpur’s Dasuya. As the video is spreading like a wildfire, Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh has ordered an immediate investigation into the matter. Speaking to the media in Jalandhar on Thursday morning, Dr. Balbir Singh confirmed that he has directed officials to conduct a thorough inquiry into the viral video. “Strict action will follow once the facts are established,” he assured.
The exact date of the viral video remains unverified. However, in the footage, a man identified as a doctor is seen using what appears to be a credit or debit card to crush a substance and consume it, allegedly in the presence of a woman who records the video. The doctor initially objects to being filmed and asks the woman to stop recording. When she refuses, he is seen snatching the phone and cutting the video short.
In a separate CCTV clip, the same individual, identified as Dr. Puneet Singh, is allegedly seen slapping a woman. Reports suggest that the doctor also works at a private hospital in Jalandhar. The Health Minister emphasized that such incidents tarnish the image of the healthcare profession and said the government is committed to maintaining the sanctity and trust associated with the medical field. He reiterated that stern action will be taken once the investigation is complete.
