PU Hoshiarpur student dies by suicide

Police have not disclosed the reason for the suicide, though sources claim that a note was recovered at the site

A third year university student has reportedly died by suicide. He was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan at a PG near the Panjab University Regional Center in Bajwara, Hoshiarpur.  Aditya Yadav was 22 years old and was studying Engineering from the PU regional center.

The security guard of the PG informs that a fellow student approached him in the noon. He claimed that the youth was hanging from the ceiling fan in his room. The security guard then confirmed the fact and alerted the police. They promptly arrived at the scene and secured the body and the boy’s belongings.

Aditya was a third year engineering student at the PU Swami Sarvanand Regional Center in Hoshiarpur and was from Chandigarh.

The police inform that the youth’s parents have been informed regarding the incident. The body has been taken in for post-martem for the investigation. The police revealed that they managed to recover the student’s mobile phone. The reason for the suicide has not been disclosed although sources inform that a note was recovered. A formal inquiry is underway.
