
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann's decision to monitor AAP's campaign for Jalandhar West Bye Election seems to have started giving results. Votings for Jalandhar West Bye Polls 2024 will take place on July 10, 2024. Jalandhar West Bye-Election was announced after Sheetal Angural resigned as an MLA after joining the BJP during the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has fielded Mohinder Bhagat as its candidate for Jalandhar West Bye-polls. In the absence of AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann has emerged as the top leader of the Aam Aadmi Party especially when the election is so near. Apart from monitoring & getting involved in the election campaign, Bhagwant Mann's decision to shift his bases to Jalandhar from Chandigarh is turning out to be a masterstroke as it is winning the trust of the people.
Bhagwant Mann has conducted multiple roadshows for Mohinder Bhagat and people have been attending in large numbers with hopes that AAP will deliver the plethora of promises it is making to the voters. Punjab Chief Minister is leaving no stone unturned be it meeting with industrialists or addressing the grievances of the common people. CM Mann has also promised to turn Jalandhar West into a hub of medical tourism. Talking about common people, Bhagwant Mann's wife is overseeing the Janata Darbar along with him where they have been addressing their problems on a fast-track basis.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, on Friday, in a unique initiative, held a meeting with the doctors in Jalandhar. Mann said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has brought the health revolution in Punjab and Delhi.
Addressing the doctors CM Mann promised to bring medical tourism to Punjab, particularly to Jalandhar. Mann said that for one it will take our medical and health sector to new levels and two, it will give our NRI community a chance to get treatment near their homes. Mann said that now the south has medical tourism in India, but the AAP government of Punjab has big plans for the health sector. He said that they are already building two big hospitals and medical Colleges in Hoshiarpur and Kapurthala. In Sangrur, the medical college's land issue will be solved soon too. He said that they are also bringing new community centers in Punjab.
Bhagwant Mann also held a meeting with the top 100 industrialists of Jalandhar and Punjab. CM Mann hosted the industrialists at his Jalandhar bungalow and also ate with them. Punjab CM also held one-to-one talks with the industrialists and even addressed them together. As per the information received, CM Mann held serious talks with sports industrialists. Notably, the sports industry is among the many industries why Jalandhar is famous. The one-to-one meeting of Mann with industrialists reduced the conversation gap that often emerged out.
On the ground level, Bhagwant Mann's wife and sister are also helping him out. Mann's sister and wife have visited people door-to-door and had discussions over their issues. They have also visited slum areas of Jalandhar West so that a;l section of society of the constituency remains under the observation of the State Government.
