Centre has decided to make the Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express inauguration day memorable and to do so Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will be present in Jalandhar.

The long-awaited Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express will start operating from December 30, 2023. PM Modi will flag off multiple Vande Bharat trains from Ayodhya including the one running between Amritsar and Delhi. The Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express will be the first Vande Bharat train in Punjab. As a result, the people of Punjab are eagerly waiting for it to start its operation in the state. Seeing excitement amping up among the people, the Government of India has decided to make the Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express inauguration day memorable. To do so, it has been decided that Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express opening day traveling will be free of cost. 

 

Yes! you heard it right. As per reports, passengers will not be charged to travel from Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat on the inauguration day. On the first day, passengers will have the facility of free travel on the fastest train on the Jalandhar-Delhi route. Reportedly, the inaugural tickets will be given to the passengers at the station itself. Passengers will get free tea along with breakfast on the train. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will be specially present in the cultural program to be organized on the occasion of the inauguration of this train in Jalandhar. 

 

Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express Update Timetable
 

The Vande Bharat Express will depart from Amritsar at 8:30 A.M. It will arrive at the Jalandhar Cantt railway station at 9:26 A.M. and will depart after stopping for 2 minutes at 9:28 A.M. After departure from Jalandhar Cantt, the train will arrive at Ludhiana at 10:16 A.M. and will depart at 10:18 A.M. The train will pass through Sahnewal at 10:41 A.M. but will not stop. It will then arrive and stop at Ambala at 11:34 A.M. and depart at 11:36 A.M. It will arrive at the last stop in New Delhi at 1:50 P.M.

 

On the return journey, The Delhi-Amritsar Vande Bharat Express will depart from Delhi at 3:15 P.M. and will reach Ambala at 5:25 P.M. From there it will start at 5:27 P.M. and will reach Ludhiana at 6:36 P.M. It will then depart from Ludhiana at 6:38 P.M and reach Jalandhar Cantt at 7:26 P.M. after a 2 minute stay it will arrive at Amritsar at 8:35 P.M.
