Learn-O-Little:Future EdTech, A thoughtful startup

Dr. Neha Tuli has been working in the field of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality for the past 7 years. She has pursued her Masters and PhD in the same field. Mr. Shivam Sharma has 4+ years in development of AR/VR applications.

While choosing her PhD project, she happened to visit her Mother’s school where she saw teachers struggling with cute little kindergarten kids to grab their attention and make them learn something.

Nowadays, it is difficult to attain a kid's attention as they want to do everything on their own. And most importantly, they just like to play games or watch videos on phones or tablets.

"So, I thought of leveraging these devices for good. Already being in the tech field, I along with Mr. Shivam Sharma (who was already working in this field and was enthusiastic about this technology) came up with the idea of educating kids with Augmented Reality giving them more immersive and interactive experiences", said Dr Neha Tuli.

Their product line 'Learn-O-Little' is an accessible AR learning environment for kids to learn basic language skills, and visualise the same colour 3D models the way they fill in their colouring book.

Establishment of Thought-Provoking "Special-Education Module" for Special Children

"After three years of research in the field of education, we founded our company in February, 2021. During this phase, we discovered that hearing-impaired children face problems like slow learning, disconnection, ignorance and dependency.

Most of them experience communication issues due to a lack of qualified sign-language interpreters, understanding from others, and intolerant attitudes. To address this issue, we developed another special-education module (with sign language flashcards) for special kids that help them learn basic language skills independently", she added.
