Accepting bad news or moreover, death news of own relative in hospital can sometimes become chaotic. A similar incident was seen at a private hospital in Kolkata. A man could not control his anger after hearing the news of the death of his relative. The doctor was then slapped by the husband of a 33-year-old woman.
As per her relatives, the patient was recovering, but at 3 am, the family received a call that her condition was critical. By the time they reached the hospital, she had died.
Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) Hospital along with gynaecologist Dr Basav Mukherjee were meeting the distraught family when Tapen Bhattacharya, the husband of the woman who died, got up from his seat and slapped the doctor.
