'I love Pakistan' balloons found near Punjab’s Rupnagar district, probe initiated

On Sunday morning, flags and balloons from Pakistan were found in the fields of the Rupnagar districts of Punjab.

As per the information by the Police, Pakistani flags and balloons were found in the fields of Sandoa village of Punjab’s Rupnagar district on Sunday morning, a day after Pakistan’s Independence Day. 

This incident has created panic in local residents. Rupnagar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Akhil Chaudhary said that this may be done by some miscreants. He further said that the investigation in the matter is underway.

SSP Rupnagar said, “It looks like balloons came from the nearby place but we can't rule out other angles. A probe has been initiated.”

The same incident was noticed in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. Pakitan’s balloons and flags were found in the courtyard of a person living in the Bhangleda village in the Mandi district. 

According to the police, the villager informed the pradhan of Churad gram panchayat and a police team rushed to the spot and took the balloons under its custody.

This year, both countries celebrated 75th Independence Day.
