Chandigarh Housing Board CEO IAS Yashpal Garg saved life of a person by giving him timely CPR after he suffered a sudden heart attack. Reportedly, the victim collapsed sitting in the chamber when IAS Yashpal reached there and gave him CPR for whole one minute. Later, the person who suffered heart attack was taken to the hospital for further check-up.

Reportedly, the victim Janak Kumar who is a resident of 41-A Sector of Chandigarh had gone to Housing Board regarding a hearing. While waiting in the chamber, he felt uneasy and collapsed on the chair. Post this, IAS Yashpal Garg without wasting even a moment started giving Janak Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation for almost a minute. After this, Janak Kumar gained consciousness and was given water.

He was then immediately taken to Sector 16 GMS Hospital in a Chandigarh Housing Board vehicle. Yashpal Garg who is an IAS officer of 2008 batch talking about this incident revealed that he is not trained in giving CPR. He revealed that once he saw a video almost a month back when a patient suffered heart attack in doctor’s cabin and how he was saved. Similarly, he also replicated the actions that he saw and saved Janak’s life.

The video that has gone viral shows a person sitting on a chair suddenly collapsing. Pot this, the person standing is front of him which is IAS Yashpal gives him CPR for revival. After this, the person gains consciousness and drinks water.
