The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will kickstart on October 5 with defending champions England taking on New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. The World Cup 2023 opening match will be a replay of the 2019 WC final in which England defeated New Zealand by the barest margin to lift their maiden 50 overs Champions Cup.  Now, 10 teams will lock horns once again to win ICC's prestigious tournament. A total of 48 matches will be played across 10 grounds in India, from Dharamsala in the north to as far south as Bangalore and Chennai. The World Cup 2023 will kickstart on October 5, 2023, and the final will be played on November 19, 2023, at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium. With so much hype all around the world, the question arises what will be the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Cash Prize, or how much World Cup 2023 winning team will get? As per the ICC, the World Cup 2023 winning team will earn US$4 million, along with the trophy that they will lift at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 19 November. The runners-up will receive US$2 million, while the losing semi-finalists will get $800,000 each from the total prize pot of US$10 million. The 48-match event will be played across 10 venues from 5 October.

In Indian Rupees, ICC World Cup 2023 winners will get Rs 33,25,08,400, runners-up will get Rs 16,62,54,200, losing semi-finalists will get Rs 6,65,01,680, Group stage exit team will get Rs 33,25,242, and last but not the least, winning the match in the group stage will make the countries earn Rs 83,12,710. 

It is pertinent to mention here that ICC always announces prize money for World Cups before the mega event. This money goes to the cricket board and some part of it goes to the players as well. This year, ICC has announced a total of $10 million in prize money, which will be divided into 10 teams based on their performance.
