Almost the whole world struggles to keep up with the fast paced life and the long working hours. The Pandemic has proven to us that working from home has given a better end to both employees and the employers. There have been several experiments conducted to reduce work hours. One such example is the Staggered flexible hours and abbreviated work days where the employees are expected to be in the office for a few days and work remotely for the rest.

The study conducted by Iceland in which more than 1% of the working population participated proved to be fruitful. The results of this trial was nothing what was expected.  Shortened work days lead to happier employees and more productive workforce. The people who were involved in this study were from various work places  including offices, hospitals and social service to name a few.

The goal of the trial was to monitor the outcome of less work hours. The employees were less likely to suffer from workplace stress, depression or anxiety.
