In yet another development to know about the cash flow of eminent business houses of Jalandhar, the Income Tax department on Thursday has carried out raids at Saffron Group and Marwaha Group. 

According to the official sources, a team of over 20 people is carrying out raids at multiple locations--Jalandhar, Nakodar, and Ludhiana. 

Notably, Marwaha owns the grocery store 'Manbro' in Jalandhar and also, runs the business of cigarettes. 

Whereas, Saffron's owner hails from Kapurthala and owns a furniture store at the GT Road, Jalandhar. Also, the Saffron group runs a school in Phagwara.

As per the information acquired from the sources, the Saffron group's owner is pursuing a housing project on 66ft Road, Jalandhar. 

It is pertinent to mention here, owners of both groups are influential personalities. After the action of the Income Tax department, many lobbyists have become active as they share an amicable bond with prominent figures.
