India becomes first country to record highest single-day spike of 75, 759, tally crosses 33 lakh

India, on Thursday, has recorded the highest single-day spike of 75, 759 fresh cases of coronavirus with which the total tally crossed the significant mark of 33 lakh. 

According to the data of the Ministry of Health, 1023 deaths were observed across the country pushing the death toll to 60, 472.

Total confirmed coronavirus cases include 7,25,991 active and 25,23,771 recoveries.

According to the Union Health Ministry data, 9,24,998 coronavirus tests were done on Wednesday across India. The total number of samples tested so far are 3,85,76,510.

On the other hand, the recovery rate of coronavirus in India currently stands at 76.24% while the fatality rate is at 1.83%. The active cases comprise 21.93% of the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country, according to the Union Health Ministry.
