Retaliating to the US magazine Foreign Policy, the Indian Air Force on Monday said that it has concrete evidence to prove that it had shot down none other than the F-16 which was used by the Pakistan Air Force during the Feb 27th aerial dogfight.

Air Vice Marshal RGK Kapoor while addressing a press conference stated that two aircrafts were undoubtedly shot downin the ariel engagement on 27 February. One amongst the shot down aircrafts was the IAF Mig-21 Bison and the other was the Pak F-16. The F-16 was identified by the electronic signature and radio transcripts.

The Air Marshal further added, "Have more credible evidence that is clearly indicative of the fact that Pakistan has lost one F-16, however, due to security and confidentiality concerns, we are restricting the information being shared in the public domain."

Earlier, an American Magazine named Foreign Policy contradicting India claim that it shot down one of the F-16s s had stated that the US had physically counted Pakistan F-16 fighter jets and none is missing. The magazine had also expressed its concers over India misleading international community.
