In the aftermath of Indian Airstrikes at terror launch pads in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK), a press conference was called in New Delhi to give the details of Operation Sindoor. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Col. Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh addressed the media and gave details about how the locations were selected and why the Armed Forces chose those particular locations in Pakistan and POK in the aftermath of Pahalgam Terror Attack. Below is an excerpt from the media address-

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, addressing the media, said, " As you all know, on April 22, Pakistani and Pakistan-trained terrorist, associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba,  launched a barbaric attack on tourists in Pahalgam. 25 Indians, and one Nepali citizen were cowardly murdered. This is the most serious incident since 2008 Mumbai attack considering that fact the civilians were attacked."

"Upon investigating the Pahalgam terror attack, communication between terrorists and Pakistan has come to light. On the basis of eyewitnesses and investigation by other agencies, attackers have been identified as well. Pakistan has emerged as safe haven for terrorists in the world. Banned international terrorists find it safe from being punished in this country. Pakistan is also known for deliberately misleading the world and international platforms."

"A group called the Resistance Front has claimed responsibility for Pahalgam attack. This group is connected with Lashkar-e Taiba. Pakistan links have been established in this attack...On April 25, Pakistan's pressure to remove the reference to TRF from the media release of UNSC shouldn't be ignored. Pahalgam terrorist attack has exposed the links of Pakistan with terrorists..Our intelligence agencies monitoring terrorist activities have indicated that there could be more attacks on India, and it was felt essential to both stop and tackle them."

"The attack in Pahalgam was marked with extreme barbarity, with the victims mostly killed with head shots at close range and in front of their family...the family members were deliberately traumatised through the manner of killing, accompanied by the exhortation that they should take back the message. The attack was clearly driven by the objective of undermining normalcy returning to Kashmir..."

Col. Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh share details of Operation Sindoor

Col. Sofiya Qureshi said, "Operation Sindoor was launched by the Indian Armed Forces to deliver justice to the victims of Pahalgam terror attack and their families. Nine terrorist camps were targeted and successfully destroyed. Over the last three decades, Pakistan has systematically built a terror infrastructure. It is a complex web of recruitment and indoctrination centres, training areas for initial and refresher courses, and launchpads for handlers."

Col. Sofiya Qureshi, while addressing the media, also presented videos showing multiple hits on the Mundrike and other terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoJK.

Col. Sofiya Qureshi stated,  "No military installation was targeted, and till now there are no reports of civilian casualties in Pakistan."

What raised everyone's eyebrows when Col. Sofiya Qureshi shared the videos showing destroyed terror camps, including from the Muridke, where those involved in the 2008 Mumbai Terror attacks  - Ajmal Kasab and David Headley received their training..."
