National Award-winning director Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming movie India Lockdown is all set to release on OTT. From the time, its trailer has got released fans can’t keep calm to watch amazing work on screen. India Lockdown is a multi-starrer film that has Saie Tamhankar, Shweta Basu Prasad, Aahana Kumra, Prakash Belawadi, Zarin Shihab, etc in it. Trailer gives an insight that India Lockdown is about the people who battled various challenges for survival during the lockdown in India during COVID pandemic in year 2020.
Speaking about India Lockdown OTT release date, the movie is all set to release on December 2, 2022 exclusively on Zee5. As per trailer released, Pratiek Babbar is a migrant worker who faces various challenges during COVID lockdown but is hopeful that soon he and his wife will be able to return to work as lockdown will soon be ended. Also, another lead star, Shweta Basu is seen to be playing role of a sex worker and due to physical contact being restricted she is also left with no work to do. Unable to meet ends, family travel hundreds of kilometers to their way back to village. Lastly, Aahana Kumra as a pilot is seen resorting to alcohol while being stuck at home.
For the people who are unversed India Lockdown is based on a real story. It portrays horror and incidents that happened post PM Modi imposed a nationwide lockdown on 24 March 2022 due to COVID pandemic.
