Indian man held for allegedly urinating on co-passenger on American Airlines flight from New York to Delhi

An Indian man travelling from New York to Delhi on an American Airlines flight was held for allegedly urinating on his co-passenger while under the influence of alcohol.

In an incident, an Indian man travelling from New York to Delhi on an American Airlines flight has been held for allegedly urinating on his co-passenger. The accused passenger was reportedly under the influence of alcohol and got into an argument with his co-passenger, during which he committed the act.

The incident took place on board American Airlines flight AA 292, and the unruly passenger was apprehended by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) upon landing at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in New Delhi. The airlines had reported the matter to the Delhi airport before landing, and both passengers involved were handed over to the Delhi Police. The victim passenger has filed a formal complaint.

This is not the first time such incidents have been reported. Similar incidents of passengers allegedly urinating on co-passengers after consuming liquor have been reported in the recent past. In November 2022, an inebriated man allegedly urinated on his elderly female co-passenger in the business class of an Air India New York-Delhi flight. Another incident was reported on board an Air India Paris-New Delhi flight in December 2022, when a passenger allegedly relieved himself on a vacant seat and blanket of a fellow female passenger when she went to the lavatory.
