Under the new coach Igor Stimac the Indian Football team scored their first point as they played their last match against Syria.

The match was drawn with 1-1 on Tuesday which took place in Ahmedabad. Indian team previously lost two matches against Tajikistan and North Korea playing for the cup.

India already lost their hopes to seize a spot in the final but the Syrian team needed to win to be finals.

In the 51st of the match, Narinder Gahlot from team India earned a point and in the 78th minute, the captain of Syria scored a point converting the penalty.

Both teams played really hard to win the game but, well, didn’t quite get there, the first half of the game went goalless.

While the opportunities to win the game were very less team India did dominate the midfield and continuously kept pressures on Syria.

Gahlot who was playing his second international outing had his good playtime in the field and struck the most needed point for India.

Well, the boys worked so hard and opened a new chapter in the football nationally and internationally.
