Private airline Indigo's flight, going from Jaipur to Kolkata, made an emergency landing in Kolkata on Monday night after smoke was spotted in the cabin.The airline in a brief statement on the social media on Tuesday said its flight 6E-237 landed in emergency on December 10 and all its passengers and crew onboard are safe. There was no earlier report of any malfunction with the airplane, the airline added.
An Indigo Airbus A320 Neo with 136 passengers onboard was around 70 km away from Kolkata when the plane had smoke in its cockpit, cabin and lavatory. A probe has been ordered into the matter.
