Indraprastha University gets 1330 new seats from Delhi Govt

The new seats will get added to the university’s affiliated colleges in nine different courses.

The Delhi Government has confirmed that it will increase 1330 seats at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University). 

The given number of new seats will be added to IP University’s affiliated colleges in nine existing courses at the undergraduate as well as the postgraduate level for the academic session 2020-21. 

630 seats out of the 1,330 seats have been allotted to BTech, making the stream to get maximum seats. The additional seats for the nine courses have been allotted to BVoc (20), BBA (120), BCom (220), BA Economics (120), BCA (90), MBA (60), MSc Yoga (15), and MVoc (55). 

In an official statement, the university said that it already has more than 37,000 seats in its campus and colleges affiliated to it.

"Now we will be able to admit more students in various affiliated colleges of the university," said the vice-chancellor of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University,  Mahesh Verma, in a statement. 

A new postgraduate diploma programme in Healthcare Management has been introduced by the University for this academic year. It is a one-year weekend programme in Healthcare Management and will be handled under the University School of Management Studies (USMS), IPU.
