INDvsENG: Yashasvi Jaiswal becomes 3rd youngest Indian to hit double century in Tests, check others

Team India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal on Saturday became the third youngest player to hit a double century for the country. Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved the massive feat against England on day 2 of the INDvsENG 2nd Test. Yashasvi Jaiswal's first Test double-century came in Visakhapatnam stadium. To achieve his feat, Jaiswal hit two smashing shots against Basheer. On Day 1, Jaiswal remained not out in 170s and he carried the momentum forward on Day 2. Jaiswal's innings were like carrying the nation alone on his shoulders as no other Indian batters managed to hit even a half-century. 

 

Jaiswal achieved his double ton with the help of 19 boundaries and 7 sixes. The other two batters who have achieved the feat are- Vinod Kambli and Sunil Gavaskar. 

 

As per the stats shows by the broadcasters- Vinod Kambli hit two double centuries in Test internationals. First when he was 21 years and 25 days old, the second when he was 21 years and 55 days old. On the other hand, 'Little Master' Sunil Gavaskar smashed a double ton when he was 21 years and 283 days old against West Indies. Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved the feat when he is 22 years and 37 days old.
