In a massive development, controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristian have been arrested again in Romania. Andrew & Tristian Tate's arrest took place on Monday night in Romania, however, this time for allegedly committing sexual offenses in the United Kingdom. As per UK media reports, Romanian authorities raided Andrew and Tristan's home, taking them into custody before they could be sent back to Britain to face trial. The Sun states that Andrew Tate and Tristian were held for 24 hours on two European arrest warrants. Amid Andrew Tate's arrest, the controversial influencer's spokesperson was quoted saying that he has rejected all the new charges brought against him and his brother.
It is pertinent to mention here that a few months back Andrew & Tristian made a bid to return to the UK to visit their sick mother after she suffered a heart attack. Andrew, 37, and Tristan, 35, tried to request an "emergency visit" to the UK - but were turned down.
Notably, before this, Andrew and Tristian were arrested by Romanian authorities as part of a probe into human trafficking, rape, and organised crime. As a punishment, they are banned from leaving Romania. Andrew and Tristan were charged by police in June 2023 as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation. They have been accused of hiring women on social media platforms and getting them to travel to their villa on the outskirts of Bucharest.
Andrew Tate on Tuesday took to his X handle and shared a cryptic tweet saying, "The Matrix is afraid, but I only fear God."
