'When life makes you Sofia be Qureshi, not Ansari!' Well, this is what social media is flooded with after two daughters of India- Colonel Sofia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika addressed the press briefing in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor. In the aftermath of Operation Sindoor, under which India destroyed 9 terror launch pads in Pakistan and PoK, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Col. Sofiya Qureshi, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh addressed the media on Wednesday. The presence of Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh in the Operation Sindoor Press Conference gave a strong message to Pakistan and Pakistani terrorists that women are enough to handle them.
Following the press briefing, Instagram model Sofia Ansari, who is known for her steamy and bold content, came on the radar of trolls. Trollers shared two pictures- one of Colonel Sofia Qureshi and another of Sofia Ansari. Trollers shared the photo comparing both of them and appealing to not become like the Instagram model who posts steamy content online.
Now, Instagram influencer Sofia Ansari has broken her silence on the ongoing social media trolling and issued a statement slamming the trolls. Below is what Sofia Ansari who enjoys almost 15 million followers on Instagram wrote on the unjustified comparison between her and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi-
"Naam ek hone se kaam ek nahi hote’ lekin kuch bewakoofon ko yeh kon samjhae! khaimakha ki publicity mat karo mujhe nahi chahiye! Jaha proud feel karte ho, Waha sarcasm aur joke banene ki jarurat nahi he. Dushmani karni hi hain to dushman se karo apne logo se nahi Jiyo aur jeene do ! (Having the same name doesn’t mean we are the same, but who will explain this to some fools!
Don’t give me unnecessary publicity — I don’t want it! Where you feel proud, there’s no need for sarcasm or turning things into a joke. If you really want to make enemies, do it with actual enemies, not your own people. Live and let live!")
In another story, Sofia wrote, "Let me explain in english for better view: People started comparing because of name. What she did for country is courageous and appreciable. Me or any other public figure is nothing compared to what she did. My path is different. I entertain people, she protects people. You can't compare the two. Every individual's journey is unique and worthy of respect. Let’s move away from judgment and choose to celebrate diversity—in careers, in choices, and in identities. Respect is not reserved for one profession or lifestyle; it belongs to all who pursue their passions with integrity and purpose. Let’s lift each other up, not tear each other down."
