The Emmy Awards ceremony will be held on November 20, 2023, in New York. Reports stated that popular Indian actors Shefali Shah and Jim Sarbh's names appeared in nominations. A famous laughter king, comedian Vir Das, was also nominated for the prestigious award.

Actress Shefali Shah’s name was proposed for her defining and thrilling performance as DCP Vatrika Chaturvedi, IPS, in the Netflix thriller series, Delhi Crime. Apart from Shefali Shah, Mexico’s Karla Souza, the UK’s Billie Piper, and Denmark’s Connie Nielsen are also nominated in the same category.
Besides that, Bollywood actor Jim Sarbh is competing for his outstanding role as Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha in the Sony LIV drama series, Rocket Boys. Comedian Vir Das's name has been nominated for his popular Netflix show, Vir Das: Landing.
According to reports, both Jim Sarbh and Shefali Shah expressed their excitement and joy over the nominations. Shefali Shah was quoted saying, ‘’Words are not enough to describe what I am feeling right now. Delhi Crime is a notable project. The first season of the show succeeded in bringing me an award in 2020, while my nomination for Best Actress is formidable." Furthermore, Jim Sarbh stated that it is a proud moment to be nominated among biliant actors from across the world.
