In the first super over of the 2019 season of IPL, Delhi Capitals have come out as a better team in the match at Feroze Shah Kotla. Delhi Capitals also made a record for defending the lowest ever score in a super over.
Earlier in the second innings of the match, DC were cruising towards the target before Prithvi Shaw missed out on a well deserved century getting out scoring 99 runs. Captain Shreyas Iyer too played a good knock but got out before taking his team across the line.
The scores were tied and DC batted first in the super over scoring 10 runs to the bowler Prasidh Krishna. Iyer got out on third ball after hitting a four but Rishabh Pant took DC to 10 runs.
But Rabada bowled a superior quality over to KKR and successfully defended the target.
Prithvi Shaw was named the 'Man of the Match' for his innings of 99 runs.
